Multiplay i32 Coverage (Part II)
Massive 1,500 players - UK's Largest LAN Event

This is our second part in our coverage of the Multiplay i32 LAN event. Checkout the "Press Area" ... absolutely jammed packed with journalists. We'll be taking a look at the Packard Bell's and Aqua PC's booths. We'll also bring you even more photos of player's rigs.

The Press Area

The press area was meant to be used by busy jounalists. However, we were a little bit cheeky and took up a whole table for setting up our HydroBox III rig. I guess one must do whatever it takes to promote one's website ;) While were at it ... we demonstrated live overclocking and pushed our Quad Core Q6600 G0 stepping to 3.6Ghz @ 8x450 with a FSB of 1800Mhz. And it was a coincidence that next to the press area was Crucial's booth ... what better to do a bit or FREE promotion and demonstartion of their DDR3 ram ... in our system.

Special thanks to all our sponsors who's helped us complete the HydroBox Project. Without them, the project would not have been completed read yin time for the i32 event.

EA Presentation

EA Presentation

With Crysis being not so far away!  In fact only six! days away!  EA were determined to give their beauty a presentation no one, would forget about!  They had everything which both entertained and interested the crowd! EA and Intel were both giving away a MASS of goodies to the entire crowd!  Crytek's Sebastian Spatzek was also attending at the event he is quite a valued member of the Crytek staff who deals with Crytek Assurance!  Sebastian gave the crowd a preview at one of the many levels of the Crysis game which will be out on November 16th!

The level involved an assault on a fortified area which was centralised around a harbour!  Your job is to destroy important targets of the enemy positions!  He also showed us a good example of the night and day element which Crysis involves!  The effect’s which we saw were superb!  The game looks a tonne better than when I previously saw it!  The development team must have worked overtime in the office!

Sebastian also demonstrated the primary and secondary objectives which are coded within the game!  Secondary objectives aren’t just simply given to you!  You will have to discover each one and then the objective will be unlocked!  This adds an immense amount of replay time to the game as you are guaranteed not to experience each and every objective the first time you play through the game!

Intel was the crowd’s favourite during the show!  Due to the fact they gave away 3 completely free quad core extreme processors!  All you had to do was give Sebastian Spatzek questions which had to make him think!  If you did that then BANG!  Free processor for you!  With the power that those Intel Quad Core Extreme Processors carry, it would be hard for anyone to keep a straight face instead of smiling with glee!  Also was given away were free games from EA and heaps of free hoodies and shirts with Hellgate :  London  and other various brands written on them!

After the presentation, within the Scan stand, 24 Crysis compatible Pc's were ready to go for the players to get first hand experience of what the full game is really all about!  But don’t worry if you wont be able to attend this years i32 as the release date for Crysis is only six days away!
