We caught up with Team Fnatic at the Park Inn Hotel, London on the 20th October ... just before they set off to Dubai for another Championship Tournamnent. We asked about their future plans and what the partnership with MSI means to them.

Winston: Hi Patrik, how are you and how's everyone on the CS 1.6 TEAM?
Partrik: Hi Winston, yes ... I'm very well thanks.
The TEAM: "Hi Winston ... we're great as well, thanks !!"
Winston: I can see you're all very happy, and you have a nice cheque for $25,000. Where and when did you guys win that?
Patrik: Yes, we're very happy. We've won the CS 1.6 tournament in Montreal ... it was the top prize at the tournament.
Winston: That's excellent news ... well done. I guess hard gaming does pay off afterall :) So, tell me more about the team. Who's who?
Patrik: Well, I'm Patrik Sattermon aka cArn. I'm the in-game leader. And here are the rest of the team ...
Winston: I know you guys take gaming really serious ... how many hours do you train/practice per week?
Patrik: Yes, being professional gamers we do it take it very serious. Usually, we organise practice and training sessions most days of the week ... playing upto 5-12 hours per day.
Winston: Wow, that's real dedication. Moving on to your competition ... who are your main competitors?
Patrik: We have many competitors ... but our main competitor is SK Gaming. We all know each other, and we are are all from Sweden ... so it's a small world ;)
Winston: What's your biggest prize win playing as Team Fnatic?
Patrik: Our biggest ever win is $50,000 in Dallas ... what was in 2006. This month as you already know, we've won $25,000 in Montreal.
Winston: How important are gaming peripherals such as mice, mouse mats, headsets and keyboards during gaming?
Patrik: These gaming peripherals are extremely important. It can be the difference of either winning or losing a game. Each member of our team have their own personal perference ... we mostly use products from Steelseries, Microsoft and Everglide.
Winston: I noticed you've now teamed up with MSI. They have become a major lead sponsor for Team Fnatic. How do you feel about that? What are your thoughts?
Patrik: We are extremely happy that MSI are now sponsoring us. This is all thanks to Neil and Sam of Fnatic PTY Ltd. MSI are a great brand. Their products are very good and we've been using their new gaming laptops over the past few weeks. so far so good. I must admit, teaming up with MSI have given us a real boost ... with such a great brand name we can definitely provide a great brand exposure and brand awareness to gamers worldwide.
Winston: When is your next tournament?
Patrik: We have a busy schdule this month. Tomorrow, we're flying to Dubai and after that ... Hangzhou. The Hangzhou tournament is an "INVITE" only tournament. 5 of the best European teams and 3 of Asia's best teams do battle ... can't wait!
