Posted by Winston Chim   on Saturday, 05 April 2008. 12:46 GMT

I'm heading off to Taiwan ... Land of the manufacturers

I'm heading off to Taiwan in May for one week ... No, it's not a holiday. It's work related, but I have a feeling it's going to be a great trip. I can't tell you any more details as yet, but I will make a further announcement in May.

This trip will be a great opportunity to find out what top manufacturers get upto in their headquarters. I understand that, when I arrive ... I will be wisked away to a lab where, there will be a certain manufacturer showcasing their new product.  I can't tell you who they are just yet 0 ... but I guaranty you it will be very interesting.

I have a few friends in Taiwan, so hopefully we will get to meet up and experience the night life and soak up the atmosphere. Don't worry there will be pleny of photos and blogs ...

Just a quick update on what's been happening to CPU3D over the past few months. It's now April 2008, and we're already 1/4 of the way through the year. Boy! hasn't it been fast?

Well for me ... the story's the same. Life goes on no matter what. As long as you give it your all, and you've tried your best ... you can't ask for more. CPU3D for life!

Well, before I go. I must say a BIG "Thank You"  to all our visitors, readers, forum members, our sponsors and my CPU3D team members. It's been a great start to 2008, and it will continue to be great for the remainder of the year!

Wales Wins Six Nations Grand Slam

It's a great for Wales and all the Welsh people ... Wales beat France to win the Six Nation's Grand Slam. The final score was 29-12. Well done Wales.

Now, on a more personal note ... my parent's restaurant in Llandaff, Cardiff have always been a favourite for Rugby loving fans. Even the Rugby union bosses go there to eat quite regularly. On the wall next to one the tables, you will find a fully signed (autographed) team photo of the Grand Slam winners in 2005. Hopefully my parents will be able to hang another exclusive team photo of the 2008 Grand Slam winners. :)

The final standings are as follows:

 - 1st Wales
 - 2nd England
 - 3rd France
 - 4th Ireland
 - 5th Scotland
 - 6th Italy

Well, the Rugby is finally over now ... let's conentrate on the FA cup. Cardiff City, my home town has secured a place in the semi-finals ... and I'll be off to the new Wembly stadium in London on the 6th April !! Woohoo !! ... Come on' Cardiff City !!

Full Coverage @ CeBIT 2008
Posted by Winston Chim   on Saturday, 16 February 2008. 13:00 GMT

Full Coverage @ CeBIT 2008

CPU3D is glad to announce that we will be bring you our exclusive coverage of the CeBIT 2008 Exhibition ... next month in March, 2008.

The CeBIT exhibition is undoubtedly Europe's largest hi-tech computer show, and it's one of the world's biggest. Staged in Hannover, Germany every year... the CeBIT exhibition not only caters for the European market, but also various other markets around the world.

You'll find a huge number of manufactuers displaying they latest products ranging from high-end computers and notebooks to PC accessories like cooling fans.

The exhibition will start on the 4th March 2008, and we'll be bringing you some exclusive photos of new products from top manufactuers such as Asus, Abit, Gigabyte, MSI and many more.

Presse Pass

We already received our exclusive "PRESSE" passes for the exhibition this month. So there won't be any problems for us getting onto the premises. The press passes will allow us to enter some restricted "PRESS" only areas, which is great. We get to see a lot more than your average attendee.

I must emphaise that the organisers of Cebit have been VERY strict to whom they give out these press passes to ... and believe me, only vaild and legitimate online journalists like us are entitled to receive these press passes.

This year's CeBIT exhibition is going to be HUGE, and you can be sure that every manufacturer will be trying to impress all those potential customers. Watch this space for more exclusive news on CeBIT 2008 ... coming soon.
