Inno3D extends their thoughts to those on older technology... AGP (Re-visited and Re-tested)

We tested the 7600GS AGP with an Asrock motherboard, which was the only motherboard in the our office which had an AGP slot, but the fact was the Asrock and the 865 chipset used a AGP-PCI hybrid slot called an AGI slot, this was not a true AGP slot as was pointed out by Inno3D.
We now return to this product and retest this on a motherboard with an AGP Pro 8x slot, the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, hopefully it will give us a much better result.

You know that not everyone can afford to upgrade regulary every two or three years let alone every year. And there are those still on AGP technology who are demanding performance video cards for AGP, many manufacturers realise this and have produced budget and mid-ranged video cards for the AGP bus. 

For those, especially in the US, who don't know who Inno3D are ... then read on. Inno3D specialises in multimedia products such as graphic/video cards and many USB devices. Their head office is based in Hong Kong, and they have other offices around the world too. Inno3D are one of Nvidia's many partners, which mean all their graphic cards they produce uses Nvidia's GPUs.

Over the years, Inno3D have been producing a lot of video cards targeting the budget to mid-range market. And for this reason most consumers have branded them as a budget card manufacturer, rather like ECS and ASRock a few years ago. They do produce some higher-end cards like the GT and GTX series, but most of these cards are based on Nvidia's reference designs.

Inno3D has sent us their GF 7600-GS-AGP which is a Nvidia's reference based AGP video card with a GPU core clock of 400MHz and 256MB GDDR2 memory running at 667MHz, all these specs obviously matches the PCI-E version of the same card. But will the AGP bus cause any bottle-neck to the performance?
