Installation

The NBCoolScraper that we were sent only had one mounting kit which was for the Intel LGA775, but don't be discouraged because it also has mounting kits for Intel S478, AMD AM2 and K8 sockets.

However, when it came to fitting the components on the motherboard it was more complicated, so a read of the manual is a must.
Mounting the actual heatsink was more of a problem, it was really close and tight up against the capacitors and other bits around the socket. For those unfortunate to have larger style chipset coolers like those on high-end ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards the copper base of the NBCoolScraper would not be able to touch the CPU as the array of fins will prevent it sitting on the CPU. Comparing the distance from the copper base to the array of fins to other tower style CPU coolers it is definately shorter, there is only 25mm space whereas other tower style CPU coolers has 40mm or more.
