I just love gadgets! And when the opportunity came for me to upgrade my aging 128MB flash drive, I couldn't wait to see what I can get my hands on. Believe it or not, I was on a fairly tight budget. I didn't want to spend too much on a flash drive, nor did I see any point in getting a 1Gb or 2Gb drive. So the ideal size for me was a 512Mb drive. With the announcement of FLASH memory prices dropping like flies lately, it was best to get one as soon as possible (you never know with memory prices ... one minute up, next minute down). Also, manufacturers will be releasing their 4Gb and 8Gb drives fairly soon. So, the 1Gb and 2Gb drives are now widely available at very good prices too.
Flash drives is what I regard as one of those great little devices, that you couldn't really live without. Ideal for storing files, MP3s, jpegs, photos and documents. I mean why waste burning a CD for something that will probably be deleted after 2-3 weeks? The flash drive you're about to see is from a 3rd teir company called AVIXE, with offices in HK and Singapore. They specialise in LCD monitors, flash drives, SD memory and other USB devices. OK, now let's take a closer look at the AVIXE Platinum 512Mb Flash Drive.
