INTRODUCTION

At first glance some people might balk at the thought of purchasing a 1200 watt PSU. I remember not long ago, when I purchased my 500watt name brand PSU I thought I was set for life. However, in the computer component realm of reality, life can mean as little as six months. Components are consuming more and more electrical juice to retain their performance crown. With four way crossfire being introduced, and the possibility of two power hungry 8800GTX's in SLI, even 750Watt PSU's are coming under a heavy workload. This is where Thermaltake steps in with the introduction of their 1200Watt PSU.

Thermaltake has long been known for producing quality chassis and cooling solution products. As of late, they have also been cutting their teeth into the enthusiast level power supply market. Since there is no shortage of power hungry components it’s great to see the company step up and produce a product that potentially won’t break a sweat providing clean electrical supply to any dream system today, or potentially some time down the road.
