Computex 2008 - Gigabyte Press Conference at the Taipei 101

On day two, Gigabyte invited us to attend their special press conference at Taipei 101. As you are already aware, it's Asia's tallest building and what a place to hold a press conference! It was held on the 36th floor ... one 3rd of the way up ... and you should see the magnificent views all round. Amazing!

Gigabyte talked about the recent success of their P45 Plug Fest event which was held last month, and CPU3D was there too! Other topics include the Gigabyte's position in the motherboard market, DES (Dynamic Energy Saver), Ultra Durable 2, the more recent TPM and their new backup system ... all of which are innovative in motherboard terms. At the end of the conference, there was a prize draw for all the tech journalists from around the world. Unfortunately, CPU3D didn't get to win anything ... however, 2 guys from Europe won P45 motherboards from Gigabyte. Well done :)

The conference rooms had live demos and display cabinets of all the latest Gigabyte motherboards and graphic cards. Check out our photo gallery below ...
