New AMD CPU's to feature new naming scheme

According to a leaked slide posted up on Far Eastern tech site Expreview, AMD has settled on some new names for CPUs coming out in October.

Just like how NVIDIA hit a brick wall after the 9xxxx series of cards, and had to switch to the GTX 2x0 naming scheme, AMD is running out of numbers, after making 9xxx series Phenoms.

AMD is going to be trying out a 5 digit numbering scheme, for both Phenom X3 and X4 parts. This is a little bit surprising: four digit naming schemes (Intel E4400, NVIDIA 8600, ATI HD 2600 etc) have always been very common -- but five digit naming schemes, not as much. At least this way AMD has a minimum of another 7 generations of CPU designs to go before it has to worry about reseting the nomenclature again.
