Users who take advantage of a hole in the Adobe Systems software used to distribute video content for Amazon.com may be able to get free movies, according to a Reuters report.

The hole is in Adobe's Flash video servers that support Amazon's streaming service.

Apparently, the Adobe software doesn't encrypt the streaming movies, and there are reports that Adobe had stripped the software of a key security feature in order to increase download speeds.

While Amazon insists that videos cannot be pirated using video stream catching software, Reuters is reporting just the opposite based on a test it conducted.

Amazon launched its video on demand service in July.
