NVIDIA 55nm GT200 Dual-GPU SKU

NVIDIA's 55nm GT200 refresh may usher in a dual-GPU solution from the Santa Clara, CA based company - As soon as December, if this report from Fudzilla is to be believed.

NVIDIA 55nm GT200 refresh to spawn dual-GPU SKU?

Citing its Far Eastern sources, the report explains that whilst a dual-GPU card would most likely have high power requirements and boast high thermals, if NVIDIA manages to surpass the performance of AMD's HD 4870 X2, it will all be worth it and would give the company something to smile about.

The company is, apparently, very secretive and doesn't necessarily share its future plans with clients. Still, if this news translates into a new NVIDIA dual-GPU offering, it will be interesting to see how the price to performance ratio plays out against AMD's line-up.
