A-DATA's 300-Series SSD's Launched

We're not sure you can call SSD drives budget products, but A-DATA has announced its 300-series of SSD drives which is going to be its budget range of SSD products. The 300-series is expected to be followed up with the 500 and 700-series of mid-range and high-performance SSD drives.

The performance numbers stated by A-DATA puts the 300-series well above other "budget" SSD drives with quoted read speeds of up to 150MB/s and write speeds of up to 100MB/s, which is pretty decent by any standards.

Price-wise, the 300-series will set you back about US$120 (€94/£81) for a 32GB drive and US$190 (€149/£128) for a 64GB drive. This isn't as cheap as the prices that OCZ have been shifting its budget SSD drives for, but it seems very reasonable for the kind of performance numbers quoted by A-DATA.
