"We take a look at Tsunami's incredibly cheap and cheerful power supply. It features two +12V rails at 17A, and a total output of 585 Watts. Sounds all good, but is it enough to satisfy the mainstream user?"
Yes, it's another Tsunami review, and this time it's not a computer chassis or a USB enclosure ... it's a power supply. But hey, I have to give some credit to Tsunami for trying. It's better than some of the manufacturers I've come across. Anyway, last week we took a look at the MRJ2 slim HTPC chassis, which was below average, and earlier this week we reviewed their e-DATA 3500 NAS BT enclosure ... which was surprisingly better than I expected. Still, one has to remember that Tsunami is a budget manufacturer that specialise in these type of products. Next time you go to a computer fair or visit your local budget computer store ... see if you can spot a Tsunami product. The chances are ... you'll find one ;)
"... Although Tsunami have made some efforts in improving their products ... they fall behind against the better and more established PSU brands. Performance is adequate for most low end/budget users ... but I wouldn't recommended it for anyone else. ... Overall the PSU unit itself is rock solid its just a shame the wires and lack of accessories let it down."
