Introduction

Asus Affordable ATI Radeon X1950 GPU.

Introduction

Last week we reviewed Asus' ATI Radeon EAX1950 in both single card mode and also in Crossfire dual card mode and we saw how great it performed, in case you missed the review just follow this link. Since this uses a similar GPU core series the X1950, I expect the performance to be similar to that of the EAX1950XTX or near to it mark. The only tell tale difference in its performance is the amount and type of memory it is using, the EAX1950 Pro uses 256MB of DDR3, that immediately says a lower performance compared to the 512MB, DDR4 EAX1950XTX.

Why would Asus bring out a card that has a slightly lower performance? Well, Asus has definitely done their market research and the need for affordable mid-high end graphics cards are wanted by the gaming conscious consumer and thats why Asus have expanded successfully in to the consumer electronics market.

MSI

As we all know the X1950 series is made by ATI and I have said many times over that I believe that the realism from ATI chipset based VGA cards are much more better than any other chipsets. They give that special lighting and detail that adds to the atmosphere of gameplay.
