Installation and BIOS

Installation was straight forward. If you've been installing processors fo a while, you shouldn't run into any problems. For the beginner though ... make sure you line up the 2 notches on the processor and LGA socket.

The BIOS 

The BIOS on the Asus P5K Deluxe offered a wide range of options. In our tests we used default/Auto settings. For overclocking, we manually adjusted various BIOS settings including DDR ram timings, FSB, CPU and DDR voltages. (Please see article index: Overclocking)

Procedures 

Here's a list of software/games we used for benchmarking. In all the gaming benchmarks we used a resolution of 1024x768 with maximum settings turned on (x4 AA and x16 AF )
