Procedures
To test the speed difference between eSATA and USB2.0, we used several benchmarking utilities. These included the disk test found on Sisoft Sandra ... see below
- Sisoft Sandra XI
- Physical Disk Test
- Removeable Storage Test
We also transferred a complete 1.6Gb ISO file disk to disk, and manually recorded the time taken to complete the task. Windows XP with service pack 2 and DirectX 9.0c was used as our operating system.
