Three CPU Cooler Review for June (just in time for Summer)

Introduction

This month we have a great round-up of three CPU Coolers for your PC to keep cool for the Summer time. As you know from my previous cooling reviews I judge cooling products by many different aspects, these are noise-level, design, innovation, performance and value. But at the end of the day its all down to performance and noise-level, many enthusiasts would want their processor to be as cool as possible and the noise level to be as low as possible. Noise levels below 20dB would be ideal and processor temperatures of less than 55C while under CPU load would be desirable.

With dual core processors, keeping the processor core to below 55C while under CPU load can be easily achieved and at the same time keeping low noise levels too. Previous reviews has proven this with the Noctua and the Zalman samples.

However, will these coolers be able to handle the quad core under CPU load? But one must realise that nearly all of the CPU Cooler that are available out on the mainstream market are designed for Core2Duo processors. In this review I will be pushing the CPU coolers to their limit and testing them on the Core2Quad processors, not ideal but hey it'll be a good test.

There will be three CPU coolers on test these are:

- Noiseblocker NB-Coolscraper120 v2.0
- Gigabyte GPower Pro
- Gigabyte 3D Rocket II

Noiseblocker is a German company producing silent PC products such as fans (80mm to 120mm), CPU coolers, PSU (350W to 550W), HDD coolers and many more cooling and case products.

Everybody who is into PC technology knows of Gigabyte, who are in-famous for their high quality motherboard products and consumer electronics, they now have a "Thermal Division" purely dedicated in producing PC enclosures/cases, VGA and CPU coolers, power supplies, notebook cooling and even going to the extreme of water cooling!!

Now that we have the very brief background on the CPU cooler brands lets carry on see what the specs are like for the three CPU Coolers.
