Installation

The 3D Rocket II has fitting kits for all new socket types LGA775, P4 S478, AM2 and the K8 using only just three clips and one retention bracket. Gigabyte has something very unique for the CPU cooler mounting kit, especially for the LGA775 socket, as mentioned earlier the retention bracket called the LGA775RM, which is attached to the motherboard, which utilises one set of clips used for both the P4 and LGA775, very clever and a lot less fiddling around.

Installing the 3D Rocket II on the LGA775 was probably the easiest of all other previous CPU coolers, screw in one retention bracket and then clip in the CPU cooler, fast and easy.
