Gigabyte introduces a chassis that's suitable for both mainstream and enthusiasts. The 3D Mars could just be the answer.

A few months ago, we reviewed Gigabyte's 3D Aurora chassis. It was a chassis aimed at the enthusiast's market and we found it to be a very good chassis indeed. Over the past year or so, Gigabyte have really invested in their thermal division, and their products including chassis, CPU and VGA coolers are starting to get recognised. It won't be long before Gigabyte will start to produce overclocking products soon. Imagine waterblocks, pumps, radiators and watercooling chassis ... all from Gigabyte. Mind you, their current high-end chassis already have ready-cut holes for watercooling and tubing.

         

Enthusiast and high-end chassis are always nice to have ... but not everyone can afford such a chassis, with many mainstream users finding them out of reach. So, Gigabyte have come up with the 3D Mars chassis. It's a chassis designed for the mainstream users. It contains several features that could attract even an enthusiast. There are 2 x 120mm LED-light rear exhaust fans, ready-cut holes for watercooling, screwless design for 5.25" bay drives, interchangeable window/mesh for the side panel, and front vents with a 120mm LED-light fan and also twin 80mm fans for hard drive cooling. For expansion there are a total of 5 x 5.25" bays , 1 x 3.5", and 5 x 3.5" internal bays.

The only thing that this chassis doesn't have is a sliding motherboard tray ... which I personally prefer. However, there's plenty of room inside, so you can get your hands in there and install a full size ATX motherboard.

My first impression of this chassis is very good ... I like the fact that it's reasonably priced too. OK let's not waste any more time and take a closer look at the Gigabyte 3D Mars chassis.
