Gigabyte iSolo 210 Chassis ... The chassis that's perfect for the mainstream users.

As Gigabyte's thermal division matures, we are seeing a lot of new products from new chassis to CPU and VGA coolers. And to our surprise, their thermal products have been getting rave reviews from around the net. In the past month, we reviewed Gigabyte's 3D Mars chassis and the Volar CPU cooler. Both were very good products which achieved our CPU3D awards.

High-end chassis are always on everybody's shopping list. However, it's not always affordable ... a top quality high-end chassis can cost in excess of £150.00. So, it's important for manufacturers to produce a mainstream chassis that's affordable, while maintaining the quality and features. For the manufacturer, they are more likely to sell a lot more mainstream chassis than high-end ones ... and that's where they make their money. Gigabyte, for the better word, has pretty much hit the nail on the head with their mainstream chassis ... offering quality with great features.

 

In this review, we'll be taking a look at the Gigabyte iSolo chassis. It's MIDI tower chassis and comes in either silver or black. It's designed for the mainstream market, and could be ideal for the cost conscience user who's after a quailty chassis with great features. You'll find the iSolo featuring a totally screwless design for 5.25" and 3.5" bays, also well as a screwless back panel for PCI/PCIe cards. Included are 2 ready-cut holes for watercooling, and 2 x 120mm fans for extra cooling  ... one in the front and one on the back of the chassis. Another feature which is also very nice is the side panel with mesh grilling ... great for extra cooling.

To add a bit of class to the chassis, Gigabyte has included a brushed aluminum front
panel with diamond cut finish, and also a illuminated backlight for it's power on status.

Since the Gigabyte iSolo is a midi chassis, it might not appeal to users who like a spacious interior, or users who have a lot of rom drives. I don't know if it's me ... but when it comes to chassis, I prefer ones with a motherboard tray. Unfortunately, the Gigabyte iSolo does not have this feature. Nevertheless, it will fit a full size ATX motherboard.
