CPU3D Exclusive: Multiplay i33 Coverage (Part I)

i33

CPU3D is proud to present a full and comprehensive coverage of the Multiplay i33 LAN event, with a more than 1,500+ players attending. It is one of UK's largest LAN event and this time it's being held at Newbury Race Course. It's our second  time we've attended, we'll be giving an exclusive and comprehensive coverage ... right here @ CPU3D. We'll be checking out the booths from manufactuers such as Crucial, Tagan and Antec. Retailers Scan, Aqua PCs, Kustom PCs and Beast Computers will also have booths to show off their new range of products.

The Event Grounds

After an hour and half's drive, we finally arrived at the Newbury Race Course, where this year's i33 LAN event is held. Over 1500+ players have already setup their PCs for a 4 day gaming experience of their lives. We noticed a van with the company name "Broken Pencil" parked outside. It's one of our regular CPU3D visitor and forum member Phat. We got to meet him inside one of the gaming halls for a quick 5 minute chat.

The registration booth was starting to get really busy as hundreds of gamers started to pour in from the front door ... eager to setup their rigs as soon as possible. Big sponsors like Coolermaster had banners all over the main exhibitors hall. A nice Nvidia logo was projected onto the walls to make the event more atmospheric.

Beast Computers

Beast Computers

New to this year's i33 is Beast computers. These guys make the MOST extreme, custom built enthusiast gaming PCs I've ever seen. There was a PC that had a custom paint job with watercooling, DDR3 and the latest Nvidia 9800GX2 in SLI mode.

Beast Computers also had on display a Skulltrail system with 2 Intel QX9770 processors ... all watercooled and Crossfired. This system costs £7,999 ... that's right over $15,000 !! (above system with "Welcome to Rapture" )
