The DuOrb is packed sold in a sturdy box that proudly displays the top of the CPU cooler. The back of the box displays the important marketing lingo as well as important documented features.

The DuOrb is packaged securely in a clear plastic shell. Packaged alongside the cooler there is an accessory box containing mounting clips for the various socket platforms, and instruction sheet. The instructions feature installation diagrams for each type of socket installation type.

The Cooler:

The DuOrb has a very large wingspan. However, Thermaltake designed it like this on purpose. Each Orb hangs over additional motherboard components, thereby providing additional cooling. The six copper heat pipes are split three into each Orb.

As you can see a large amount of space exists between the start of the Orb fins and the base of the cooler. This is to allow space for the components the Orbs hang over.

The bottom of the cooper base is very smooth and reflective. The slight scratches that are apparent in this photo only occurred after taking a t-shirt to the base to remove some slight smudge marks. The shirt was not made of soft enough material, and the small scratches occurred. From this angle was can see the fins are constructed of an aluminum and copper combination. This combination of metal alloys should provide for some effective heat transfer ability.
