"The world's most famous manufacturer isn't complete without producing a good quality power supply. Asus have just introduced their U-75HA 750W power supply aimed at the mainstream to high-end market. Find out more."
Asus is a well known and well loved brand name within the IT industry, with a illustrious history. For as long as I can remember, they have been the world's number one in terms of producing quality computer products ranging from components like motherboards and graphic cards, to complete systems including laptops and netbooks. Versatility is one of Asus's main advantages over its competitors. There are only a few companies that can offer such a wide range computer products ... and Asus is one of them. They can cater for both mainstream and highend users, including extreme overclocking enthusiasts and now dedicated hardcore gamers, through its ROG (Rebublic of gamers) range of products. In fact, I don't think there is a market that Asus hasn't been explored ... and if there is, I'm sure they'll be very successful if they did enter it.

When Asus gave us a power supply to review, I thought to myself ... is this product actually manufactured by Asus themselves, or is it just a "rebranded ... re-labelled" power supply made by some other company.
Power supplies isn't exactly something that Asus specialise in. However, like many big manufacturer, products like these are more of a "gap-filler" for their catalogue than anything else. Still, having said that ... you can be sure that Asus can deliver the goods, no matter what the product.

In this review, we'll be taking a look at the Asus U-75HA 750W power supply. The U-75HA is a 750 Watt PSU aimed at the higher-end of the mainstream market. It comes with 80 PLUS certification, offering upto 86% efficiency. The PSU does not feature a modular cable management system, but it does come with 4 x 12V rails @ 18A, which should be enough to satisfy most users.
The supply is cooled by a 135mm temperature-regulated fan. The power supply also have four 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors to provide enough power to the graphics cards ... allowing the possibility of a 4-way Crossfire configuration.

In terms of performance, reliability and stability ... we're expecting the Asus U-75HA 750W PSU to do very well in all departments. We'll be putting this power supply through our 240W "Peltier Test" and see how well it will perform under heavy load.
We'll be testing the Asus U-75HA 750W PSU with our very toasty and power hungry Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ default 2.4Ghz, Radeon HD 4870x2 (overclocked version), Kingston HyperX DDR2 PC2-9200 2Gb Kit and a 24" Samsung SyncMaster 245B LCD monitor. Other components include 2 x Pioneer DVD R/W drives and a pair of Western Digital Caviar 250Gb hard drives, as well as 4 x 120mm fans. All of which will increase the total power consumption. Windows Vista with native DX10 was used as our OS.
Ok, let's not waste any more time and take a closer look at the Asus U-75HA 750W PSU ...
