Installation, Setup and BIOS

Installation was easy. No problems here. The motherboard features a slient heatpipe chipset cooling, and you can mount the additional fan for extra cooling. The IR receiver module must be connected via a special USB as instructed (not sure why - see below).

I was quite surprised with the amount of space around the CPU socket. This is great for mounting large heatsink and fans. There's also plenty of room around the DDDR DIMM slots for easy access.

The BIOS on the Asus P5W DH Deluxe is really easy to use. It has all the options available for adjusting CPU, DDR2, Chipset and PCIe voltages. There's also frequency adjustments for CPU, chipset and PCIe.
