Gigabyte continues its impressive range of cooler with the Volar CPU cooler ...

Introduction

Back in the Summer 2007 we reviewed two of Gigabyte's CPU coolers which had unusual designs and very powerful cooling performance at the cost of higher noise levels. But with the use of fan controllers that come with the package, one can easily reduce noise levels.

The two CPU coolers that went on test were:
- Gigabyte GPower Pro
- Gigabyte 3D Rocket II

Both had very novelty designs, but there was more than meets eye especially when testing them on a the quad core processors.

Ever since Gigabyte had formed their Thermal Division, their developments have come leaps and bounds in thermal solutions. You can tell just by looking at their G-Power series is now on the 2nd edition just after a few months.

Today, at CPU3D.com we had the chance to review the Gigabyte Volar with a 120mm fan and angular conical structure plus heatpipe design.
