Introduction

Looking to play the latest games on the market?  Haven’t got enough money to dish out on an 8800 Ultra?  Don’t worry, XFX have kindly given the public this reliable and effective mainstream board!  The XFX GeForce 8600 GT is a budget effective board which works on the Nvidia GPU!  XFX have further over clocked it and added their own little additions to make it that much better!  Check out what this piece of hot gaming gear can do!

XFX 8600 GT

To begin with the XFX 8600 GT is primarily built upon the Nvidia G84 GPU!  XFX have added to the board making slightly more powerful at a better cost!  An additional Zalman Cooling kit also comes with it placed upon the top side of the board to keep the graphics card cool, while your happy fragging away!  The card has duel DVI outputs and alongside them is also a TV output socket!  The card supports FULL 1920x1080p Blu-ray/HD-DVD Video, and because this card was initially designed for Windows Vista operating system it works like a charm which made it a piece of cake to install!

Full DirectX 10 Support, 16X anti aliasing as well as PCI Express and Open GL 2.0 support are just some of the other features which come included in the board!  The DVI outputs can support up to 2560x1600 resolutions which is insanely big for anyone!  Lastly, yes you can perform duel SLI support on these cards!  So if you do have the money then you are able to link up both graphics cards to achieve Duel SLI mode!

A lot of PC Games of today do require Direct X 9 or above!  With the new advancement to DX10 games are looking better and better by the day!  We decided to give the XFX 8600 GT a crash course through some of the most demanding DX10 Benchmarks it could ever live up to!  In the following tests we have tested the XFX 8600GT in comparison to an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS!  Even though obviously the 8600 GTS is expected to have better results it was still nice to know that the XFX card wasn’t too far behind while running Lost Planet and Call of Juarez Benchmarks!

OK, not's waste any more time and see how well the MSI RX2600XT (Radeon HD2600XT) will perform against others on the market ...
