VIZO's Mini-Ninja notebook cooler with its optional USB-powered twin fans does exactly what it supposed to ...

INTRODUCTION

Our last review on a VIZO product was their Luxon Advanced ED hard drive enclosure. It offered support for both external USB and eSATA connections. The packaging and contents was satisfactory, and we were happy with the general build quality of the product. VIZO is an up-and-coming brand that specialises in PC accessories. If you missed our last VIZO product review ... here's a re-cap.

"VIZO is a company that specialises in PC accessories, with head offices in Taiwan. They've been established since 1992 and is only just beginning to expand their business into Europe and the United States. VIZO's range of products include a lot PC accessories like USB/eSATA enclosures, notebook coolers, front panels and cables."

VIZO Mini-Ninja

VIZO's product range includes innovative coolers as well, and in this review, our CPU3D review team takes a look at their Mini-Ninja notebook cooler. The Mini-Ninja is an active notebook cooler that's constructed from brushed Aluminum. It features 2 USB-powered 70mm fans which can be adjusted, and also mesh grilles for maximum air-flow. The fans are powered by a USB cable that has a T-shaped connector at one end ... this allow users not share a USB port, so you don't have to sacrafice a USB port just for the cooler.

In the past we have reviewed non-active notebook coolers. The Thermaltake iXoft and Gigabyte's G-Pad. Both are very good products and very portable, which is ideal for any users that are constantly on the move. However, the VIZO's Mini-Ninja is not so compact, and it's a little bulky to carry around. It's probably more suited for the notebook user who's pretty much stationary, but want an active cooling solution for their notebooks.

We'll be testing this cooler with our beloved Toshiba Satellite Pro U200 notebook. The same naotebook that I'm curently using to write this review. It may not be a powerful notebook, but it will show us whether, the Mini-Ninja is doing its job.

OK, let's not waste any more time and see how the VIZO's Mini-Ninja notebook cooler performs ...
