"The real deciding factor for me, was Piranha’s true-to-life audio quality, and the adjustable, noise-filtering microphone."

INTRODUCTION

Over the past few months, I've reviewed a lot of mice, mousepads, some keyboards and mouse feets ... however, I've only reviewed just one headset. It was the SteelSeries Siberia In-Ear Headset. And if you can remember it’s a small headset that's very much like a normal set of earbuds. Now, today I’m going to introduce you the Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator. It’s the latest headset from Razer, and it looks to be a real winner. Razer’s first headset was the Barracuda and it was released quite some time ago. That’s why Razer needed to come up with a new headset ... so they've now introduced the Piranha. There are a lot of other things that make this headset special, so let’s find out what are they.

A closer look

The package doesn't come with any installation CD, which I find quite odd for a Razer product. However, since it uses a USB and a standard 3.5mm audio jack connections, I guess you don't really need a installation CD. As with all Razer products, they have a very good packaging style. When you get Razer Piranha, beside the headset you will be able to find quick start guide, certificate of authenticity, a small paper that gives introduction about Razer products and two Razer stickers. Razer always includes some other things in their packaging, not just the product. Next we take a look at the specifications of the Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator:
