Corsair designs a USB flash drive that’s like a HD in the pocket.
Introduction Corsair has been on the forefront of quality memory products for some time now. The long list of products produced ranges from desktop memory, all the way to removable storage devices. The removable flash drive market has heated up with competition as of late, and big dogs like Corsair wish to distinguish themselves from the masses. In the spirit of competition Corsair has released their latest additions to the Flash Voyager and Flash Voyager GT lines. The new product line features capacities of 16GB and 32GB. Today we will be taking a closer look at the 16GB Flash Voyager GT version.
The front of the package displays a nice graphic of the drive itself and on the back is the important feature list of specifications pertaining to the drive. Included with the Flash Voyager GT is a USB extension cable and a neck strap. Software contained on this drive itself is Corsair's True Crypt security application. It’s a nice touch on Corsair’s part to include some encryption software, however personally I tend not to store sensitive data on a flash drive.
You may have noticed that there are two different versions of the 16GB drive, the GT and non GT version. The GT standard denotes an optimized for speed version, where the non GT is more of a value orientated large capacity option. However, both versions feature a smooth rubber coating which improves shock resistance of the drive, and aids in water resistance as well.
